Pitlochry Festival Theatre connects ticketing, hospitality and membership with VisitOne

Set in Highland Perthshire, Pitlochry Festival Theatre has welcomed audiences since 1951. Known as Scotland’s Theatre in the Hills, it began life as a theatre in a tent and has grown into a creative destination for visitors from Scotland and beyond.

Today, its theatres and outdoor performance spaces sit within an eleven-acre riverside site, offering a distinctive setting for audiences to enjoy live performance and spend time together. Its purpose extends beyond the stage, with a commitment to enriching lives and connecting its communities with the wider world through the arts.

We’re delighted that Pitlochry Festival Theatre has chosen VisitOne for secure digital tickets, mobile pre-ordering, donations and digital membership cards. Connecting the theatre’s Spektrix ticketing system with Tevalis EPOS will bring these services together to create a more convenient visitor experience and valuable insight for venue teams.

Guests will be able to access and securely share their tickets, arrange food and drink pre-orders, make donations and keep their membership cards conveniently available on their phones. Advance and interval pre-ordering give audiences more time to choose refreshments while helping teams prepare orders ahead of busy service periods.

For the theatre, EPOS and ticketing integration connects ticket sales and bar purchases, supporting a fuller understanding of customer spending and opportunities to develop secondary revenue. Digital membership cards and convenient donation options also support the relationships that help sustain the theatre’s work.

Secure ticket sharing will help identify accompanying guests, often called shadow attendees or “shadow bookers”, who might otherwise remain unknown within another person’s booking. This creates opportunities to recognise more audience members and develop direct relationships, with marketing choices managed separately.
