Leeds Playhouse chooses VisitOne to enhance audience experiences
VisitOne welcomes Leeds Playhouse to the VisitOne family.
Leeds Playhouse connects ticketing and EPOS with VisitOne
At the heart of Yorkshire’s creative life, Leeds Playhouse brings people together through the power of storytelling. For more than 50 years, this leading producing theatre has created ambitious work for audiences in Leeds and beyond, combining memorable performances with a deep commitment to its communities.
From supporting new and established theatre-makers through its Furnace programme to opening up opportunities for participation through Playhouse Connect, Leeds Playhouse champions creativity both on and off the stage. Its commitment to welcoming people from different backgrounds makes it a place where audiences can discover new perspectives and feel part of something shared.
We’re delighted to welcome Leeds Playhouse to the VisitOne family. Using the full suite of VisitOne features, the theatre will connect its Spektrix ticketing system with pointOne EPOS, bringing together secure digital tickets, food and drink pre-ordering, audience communications and valuable visitor insights.
For guests, this means convenient access to tickets, secure ticket sharing with friends and family, and the ability to pre-order and pay for interval and pre-show drinks. Having orders placed in advance helps venue teams prepare for demand and gives audiences another way to collect refreshments during a busy visit.
The integration of ticketing and EPOS via the VisitOne platform and web-based app also helps Leeds Playhouse understand more about the complete audience journey. Bringing ticket, food and drink and merchandise purchases together provides a fuller picture of visitor behaviour and total guest value, supporting more relevant communications and opportunities to grow ancillary spend.
Secure ticket sharing adds another dimension by helping identify shadow attendees, sometimes called “shadow bookers”: the people attending as part of someone else’s booking. Recognising these guests helps theatres build audience relationships beyond the original ticket purchaser.
Phillip Markwick, VisitOne CEO, said of the venue partnership "We look forward to supporting Leeds Playhouse as it continues to create exceptional theatre, nurture new voices and welcome communities from across Yorkshire and beyond."
