Kings Theatre Trust choose to integrate all features of the VisitOne platform

Two of Portsmouth’s most cherished cultural venues are taking the next step in connecting their audience experience with VisitOne.

The Kings Theatre and New Theatre Royal bring together exceptional heritage, live performance and a strong commitment to their communities. Opened in 1907 and designed by celebrated theatre architect Frank Matcham, the Kings Theatre is an Edwardian landmark in Southsea. Alongside it, New Theatre Royal combines its own rich theatrical history with a programme that brings creativity and community together in the heart of Portsmouth.

Now operating under a shared leadership team, the venues are building on their individual strengths to support the future of live performance in the city. We’re delighted that VisitOne will be part of that journey.

With both theatres using Spektrix for ticketing and Kurve for EPOS, VisitOne will connect these systems to bring secure digital tickets, interval drink pre-ordering, merchandise upsells and audience communications into one convenient visitor experience.

For audiences, this means easy access to tickets, secure ticket sharing with friends and family, and the opportunity to pre-order interval drinks before arriving at the theatre. For venue teams, the VisitOne integration with the Spektrix ticketing and Kurve EPOS data creates a clearer picture of audience behaviour and opportunities to increase secondary spend.

Secure ticket sharing also helps identify previously unknown audience members, often called “shadow bookers” or shadow attendees. By enabling guests to receive their own tickets, VisitOne helps theatres understand more of the people attending each performance and build relationships beyond the original purchaser.
