Capital Theatres Case Study
Scotland’s largest theatre charity integrated VisitOne’s seamless digital solution to deliver an enhanced customer experience and drive additional revenues by integrating with Spektrix and Square.
Capital Theatres is Scotland’s largest theatre charity, bringing performances and community programmes to audiences across Edinburgh. Its three venues - Festival Theatre, King’s Theatre and The Studio - each have a distinct character and programme, while sharing a commitment to artistic ambition, audience development and long-term resilience.
With hundreds of performances taking place each year, the organisation was looking for ways to make every stage of a visit feel more convenient and connected for audiences and staff alike. That meant linking mobile ticket delivery and drinks pre-orders with the systems already used by its teams, including Spektrix, while making the experience straightforward for audiences and practical for front-of-house and hospitality staff.
The case study explores how Capital Theatres approached this opportunity: bringing digital tickets, reminders and pre-ordering into one audience journey, and adapting collection processes to suit bars across different levels of its venues. It also looks at how ticket forwarding can help a theatre understand more of the people attending, and how digital membership can support communication with its Friends.
Read the case study to learn how the team considered its wider strategic priorities and worked through a phased digital rollout designed around the needs of its audiences and operations.
