Sheffield Theatres brings together four performance spaces in the centre of the city: the Crucible, Lyceum, Playhouse and Montgomery Theatre. Their programmes range from world-class snooker and in-house productions to drama, comedy, dance, family performances and community events. Each venue has its own identity, audience and operational demands.

For the hospitality team, the interval creates a concentrated service window. The challenge is to serve audiences quickly while keeping walk-up bars moving, especially in spaces where capacity and bar facilities differ. Sheffield Theatres already offered digital ordering, so the opportunity was to build on that foundation with a platform that could grow with the organisation and connect the visit more coherently.

The case study looks at how VisitOne’s integration with Spektrix and pointOne supports a connected journey that brings tickets, venue information and hospitality ordering together. It explores the importance of reflecting each building’s character in audience communications, and how menu management and access to performance-level sales information can help teams plan their work.

Read the story to see how Sheffield Theatres approached the transition across its venues, considered the needs of both audiences and staff, and is encouraging customers to make digital pre-ordering part of their visit in practice, too.
